Relay for Life Newport Beach 2009
The Relay for Life of Newport Beach was held at Newport Harbor High School on 16th and 17th in 2009. The Relay for Life in a 24 hour long event where groups of people come together to celebrate the lives of loved ones lost to cancer and to fight for a cure. This year was a huge success! There were over 800 participants, 52 teams and over $127,000 raised for cancer research! The Orange County Pain Management team “OC Pain Management for Life” surpassed their fundraising goal of $1500 by raising $1715. Most of the funds came from the “Wine Tasting and Raffle” event held on the weekend prior to the Relay; over 70 people attended. Thank you to everyone who made this all possible!
