Hip Flexor Syndrome

Hip Flexor Syndrome does not have to be as complicated as people are making it out to be.  You just have to know what you are looking for if you are going to recover from it within a reasonable amount of time.  During this time, it is common for runners to develop Hip Flexor Syndrome from increases in training, as majority of the local races are coming close.

Hip Flexor Syndrome

What needs to be done to decrease pain and tightness associated with Hip Flexor Syndrome?

Three things mainly:

  • Find out why the Hip Flexor is being overuse
  • Find out which Hip Flexor is the one being overuse
  • Remove scar tissue formations from the area

Now what about preventing Hip Flexor Syndrome from returning?

Again three things:

  • Re-strengthen the area with specific protocols
  • Stretch the areas that have become shortened with Dynamic Stretches
  • Have your gait looked at to see potential causes

Once you have a systematic approach the condition is not hard to address!  Hip Flexor Syndrome does not have to keep you out of races and the training you love.  Be pro-active and have a professional look at your Hip Flexors before you loss too much time.

Very soon I will be putting out a short case video about Hip Flexor Syndrome so keep posted!
